Company
Profile
Aquatic Research Inc. started in 1981 as a water quality and hydrologic
consulting firm. In 1985 the laboratory was opened and has now
become the primary function of the company. We often use the experience
gained as water resource consultants to assist our clients in
designing cost effective monitoring programs that will effectively
meet their needs. In 2005 Aquatic Research became part of the
IEH consulting
and laboratory group. Although we operate independently, we
can draw on the broad and diverse capabilities of the IEH team
to provide a multi-disciplinary approach to complex environmental
projects. Our broad range of experience includes:
• Drinking water analyses
• Landfill surface and groundwater monitoring
• Stormwater monitoring
• Fish tissues
• Industrial wastes
• Ambient water quality studies
• Marine sediments
• Microbial source tracking
• Low level nutrient analyses
• Grain size and other physical testing
Please note that the laboratory has low detection
limits capabilities for metals, organics by GC/MS, and nutrient
analyses. We have also developed proprietary methods to meet project
specific needs of our clients. Some of these include a rapid low
level method to map the extent of an oil spill in sediments and
water, analysis of arsenic at 50 parts per trillion, and the analysis
of caffeine at 10 parts per trillion to determine whether septic
tank effluent was leaching into drinking water wells.
